About David Hollier
Born and raised in Wolverhampton in the U.K., David Hollier is an artist and the founder of New Apostle Gallery. He has exhibited in solo and group shows/art fairs in both the United States and abroad. Hollier creates images of cultural and political icons as composites of their famous words in the forms of paint and typography. Part-social commentary and part-documentary, Hollier’s work blurs the lines between pop culture and politics, and invites us to consider the power of words to influence and endure. Hollier currently works from his studio in Downtown New York.
